Referring back to fishing, with many different species of fish from salmon to trout and perch as well as others, Lake George is the perfect spot to satiate your fishing desires. One may find copious amounts of fishing guides as well as fishing related stores like worm shops and fishing line outlets. A few miles north lies Bolton Landing, a quieter and more nonchalant town that provides a rustic feel yet still remains within the vicinity of many shops, restaurants, bars and nightlife.
Even outside of the lake, the mountains offer miles upon miles of hiking and biking trails around. Go atop Prospect Mountain and gander at the best views around. The Lake George village alone offers a lot of fun activities for all, from amusement and water parks to museums and historic sites. Be sure to catch all the arts and crafts zones, along with concerts and many dining and shopping experiences. Accomplishing everything is a challenge in itself, but the reward is endless.
